Autism awareness what a joke

Yes there is but it's all just still just one word

Lack of knowledge lack of comprehension and acceptance

Guess Rain man is still associated with autism

And that it is the general image of autistic people

There is so much more than just knowing that there is

Wish everyone took the time to learn more and have more understanding

Not just around autism but everything.

Because inwardly we are all uniquely different and no one has the right to judge anyone else

It does not matter where you come from or what your beliefs are

Everyone should be accepted and treated equally

I wish everyone treated each other the way they want to be treated

Just assume it's a dream when you see the reality on TV every day

Imagine if everyone could stop and see that we are all equally worthy

How can you say that a person who has no need for social interaction is isolated!!

So you immediately assume that everyone works equally

Funny that you think that just because you met an autistic person

This does not mean that everyone works in the same way

How can you claim that you understand someone when you do not even take the time to get to know the person

How can you say that a person who has no need for social interaction is isolated

How can you judge someone without even getting to know them

How can you say things without even giving the person a chance to express themselves

To break down a personality by constantly saying that it is not okay to be or function as you do

To constantly hear the same thing over and over again

That you are not good enough or that it is not okay

Just because you do not fit into what society considers normal

Does not mean that you have the right to judge without even trying to understand

It's just weird that my words always backfire and are used against me!!

Not even my wildest thoughts get a grip on it

How do you deal with constantly being misunderstood

That everything you say is misinterpreted where it is not possible to communicate

How can a word, a sentence, be transformed into something completely different

How can anyone claim that their misinterpretation is what I have said

How can never become a yes I really do not understand !!

How can everything that has been said, be distorted and changed into something completely different

is it really that hard to understand something so simple
